Our Ruth Missions Circle group has been blessed with an amazing opportunity to serve.  We have been speaking with Aaron Palmatier about ways that we can serve and assist with the wonderful work he does with Missions Door.  We were told of a need of the Pastors in South America.  These men travel all over on bicycle to share the Word of God.  They are in need of having a bag that they can carry their Bible, pen and paper.  When we asked how many bags they needed, we were told, "As many as you can make."  Cambodia is the first destination we will be supplying bags too, then we hope to expand this project to other countries.  Our ladies have been working hard on this project, and have developed a pattern that we believe will work wonderfully for this purpose.  We need the help of our Church family to help us with this project.

Some things that we need:

1.  Material:    We need sturdy cotton twill, denim or duck fabric for the bags.  Basically, we need medium to heavy cloth that can withstand a lot of wear and tear.  We think that darker colors would work better.

2.  Work:People that would like to help us with this project.  Do you have time to help us sew a bag or two (or more)?  We invite all ladies to join our monthly meetings.  We meet on the first Tuesday of each month 7pm-9pm.  Come and join us as we learn about and pray for our field missionaries.

3.  Donations: To buy cloth, pencils and small notebooks for the bags.  Please send all monetary donations directly to the church, and notate that the donation is for the 'bag ministry.'  Next Sunday (March 30) there will be a box for material donations outside the Sanctuary.

If you have any questions, please contact:  Janice HareJanice Hare, 375-3035 or email at: mandjhare(at)hotmail.com -or- Amy McNab 455-9842 or email at: mcnabfamily(at)mac.com
(To prevent spammers picking up addresses, we leave out the working email address.  Copy the address and replace (at) with the @ sign.)

 Stamps for Ruth Missions Circle

Ongoing: Fund Raising for Ruth Missions Circle: Save your Christmas Card envelope stamps. Ruth Missions Circle saves these up, then sends them to a Christian lady in Oregon. She packages collections from several churches, then sells them to suppliers of collectors. The money she makes from this is donated to the missions effort. Turn stamps into church office, or Janice Hare, Anita Harriger, Erma Senti or Dorothy Gunter. Thank you.

Email Directory / Prayer Chain
A. An email directory. Please write your name and an e-mail address plainly on your Sunday registration card. This will put you on the e-mail list for receiving weekly prayer concerns.

B. For those who do not use e-mail, would you like to receive a printed copy of the weekly prayer concerns?

Sign-up on the registration card for that purpose also. Please understand you must pick up the weekly prayer concern sheet (it will not be mailed). Tyey are located in the Bay View Room of the church in the wall rack. This sign-up is so that we can make the appropriate number of copies.
