Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

Matthew 28:19-20

We desire for First Baptist Church of Monterey to be a part of fulfilling Jesus’ Great Commission in our neighborhoods and around the world. Here are some of the ways we do that.

I-Help

We are one of the local churches that supports the Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program, or I-HELP. Each month our building houses one to two groups of people needing safe shelter, and our church family provides them with warm food during their stay. In addition, I-HELP provides support and advice for each of the members in their program so that they may find a job, transition into permanent housing, and move forward successfully and autonomously. Through this program, many are also able to hear about the love God has for each of them.

If you would like to help this ministry, please contact Elma (8310402-2323 or Eugene (831)467-9009.
