Some Elements of our God-centered worship that we practice regularly include:

 

  • Expository Preaching We have nothing good to say from ourselves, but we stand firmly in the Word of God and proclaim it boldly. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 4:1-2, Romans 10:16-17)

  • Ordinances of Baptism and Communion We make a regular practice of these as a means of grace and a sign and seal of the covenant community. (Romans 6:3-6, Matthew 28:19, Colossians 2:11-12, John 6:53-58, 1 Corinthians 10:16-18)

  • Public Reading of Scripture We read through a Psalm together every Lord's Day. (1 Timothy 4:13, Luke 4:16-30)

  • Christ Centered Songs A blend of hymns and contemporary music with Biblically defensible lyrics that focus on who He is and what He's done. (Colossians 3:16-17, John 4:23-24)

  • Congregational Prayer We humbly approach the throne of Grace together as a means of fellowship with God which has been made possible by Christ's intercession for us. (Acts 2:42, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, John 16:23-24)

  • Practice of Church Discipline Training unto godliness by restoring a sinning believer, warning against such sins by others and preserve the reputation of Christ and His church. (Matthew 18:15-35, 1 Corinthians 5)
